You are sending a link to... Elite Physical Therapy Celebrates our 15 Year Anniversary
As we reach this milestone we wanted to send our thanks to each and everyone of you who have been a part of our journey. We also thought we would share our story with you to show you where we started and how far we have come!
Elite Physical Therapy began with an idea and a large leap of faith in God. Julie Shoemake and Kasey Cartwright Parsons opened Elite Physical Therapy in October 2001. Elite's first location was 1114 North Main Street in Shelbyville, TN with only two employees, Julie and Kasey. The community welcomed them and their new business with unbelievable support and within two months they hired their first employee. As the support grew they quickly doubled and tripled in patients and by 2003, they had a staff of five.
At that point, Elite decided to take another leap of faith and grow into a second facility. At that time, the city of Spring Hill was in its initial peak of growth and there were very few rental spaces available. Spring Hill's first location was in a historical older home on Main Street with high ceilings, cracks in the floor, and it had many challenges to repair. After months of property searching, Elite purchased the old Spring Hill post office. It also had many challenges in structure and design in order to meet the needs of their business. Demolition of walls, ceilings, restrooms, and windows took place and the face of the building was updated. In 2004, Elite moved into their new facility and conducted an Open House to welcome the community and to show off their remodeled building. Kasey and Julie were full of pride and optimism with their first business property of their own. Spring Hill has proven to be a wonderful town and Elite has developed thousands of relationships and friendships through their therapy services and community involvement over the years.
By 2005, Elite had cultivated an excellent working relationship with the doctors and staffs within the Franklin area and decided to expand once again. The third Elite Physical Therapy was located in a medical building on Mallory Lane in Cool Springs. After spending a few months at that location, Elite relocated to a more preferred site and moved into a suite in the Aspen Brook Complex on Aspen Grove Road. The location was a natural fit because they were surrounded by physicians, imaging, and other medical support where they are still located to this day. Elite has been blessed to be part of such a professional establishment and loving caring customers.
Our friends and neighbors in Bedford County have been very good to Elite Physical Therapy over the years. It is Elite's mission to provide the best therapy and customer service available and when the opportunity to expand the Shelbyville location came, they purchased the property adjacent to the clinic on North Main in 2011. With that expansion came the opportunity to develop a modernized facility to better accommodate the needs in our community.
Elite has not only grown in their facilities over the years, but also in offering excellent programs to better serve its customers. They offer spinal decompression, orthopedic therapies, post-op therapies, a fully encompassing balance program with harnesses, virtual reality and Biodex training, and the Anti-Gravity Treadmill where patients can walk with as little as 20% of their body weight.
Elite Physical Therapy cannot adequately express the gratitude that they feel for all of the support, partnerships, and friendships within the communities that they serve. The relationships developed with the local physicians and industries have been deeply appreciated over the last 15 years in Bedford, Maury, and Williamson Counties. We pray the Lord will continue to bless us and give us the knowledge and strength for many more years of service to our customers.
